(the “Wonderfund”) and the children we serve across the Commonwealth, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your recent contribution. Your generosity and compassion have brought comfort, dignity, and hope to the lives of the most vulnerable children in Massachusetts.

With your generous investment in these special children, you are providing life-changing opportunities. Because of you, children involved with DCF will have access to enriching experiences that build confidence, teach new skills, encourage bonding with peers, and allow for positive role models to become part of a child’s life. The opportunity to attend summer camp; play a sport; take an SAT prep course; participate in art and music classes; become certified as a life guard, truck driver, or EMT – you have made these and other transformative events possible for children who have been exposed to trauma. For children who have to be removed from an unsafe situation and placed in foster care, you are providing new pajamas, clean clothing for school the next day, toiletries, and an item of comfort, like a teddy bear, book, or night light. You are bringing comfort and dignity to an otherwise difficult time in a child’s life.

By making these children feel supported and valued in difficult times, you are fundamentally changing the trajectory of their lives. You are helping these very deserving children build resiliency, life skills, self-belief, and optimism about their future.
